From Hannover airport

From Hannover main station

First, you need to get to the tram station "Kröpcke" (underground tram station). One possibility is to take the tram. To get there leave the platform downstairs to the main hall of the main station. Then head towards "Raschplatz" in direction of increasing platform numbers. Take the escalators and you will be at the underground tram station. Take the tram line 1 (directed to Laatzen), tram line 3 (Wettbergen) or tram line 9 (Empelde). Leave the tram at the next station named "Kröpcke". Alternatively you can walk to Kröpcke if following (5 min walk).

From Kröpcke take the tram line 4 (directed to Garbsen) or 5 (Stöcken). Leave the tram at "Schneiderberg/W. Busch Museum". The ride takes a few minutes. From there cross the road and follow the road which runs perpendicular to the railway which is named ‘Schneiderberg’. From there signs will guide your way to the Bunsencolloquium.

You should buy a 1-Day Ticket for 5.20 Euro which is valid the whole day and for every direction in Hannover (Ticket Zone Hannover). For traveling once and in single direction you have to pay 2.60 Euro (information valid from 01/01/2017).

Travelling by car

The address of the institute is "Callinstr. 3 - 3a, 30167 Hannover". There is only a small amount of parking lots around the institute and in the neighbouring streets available, so please use the car park of the university at the address Schneiderberg 50, 30167 Hannover, opening hours from 8 to 20 h.

Venue and additional information

The colloquium will take place at Callinstraße 3-3a, D-30167 Hannover, Germany. The lecture hall is located in the Institute of Physical Chemistry and is called Dr.-Oetker-Hörsaal and has the room number 007.

You will have access to the internet via wireless LAN at the venue.

A conference dinner will take place in the Restaurant Brunnenhof, which is located close to the main station (Ernst-August-Platz exit). Participants will reach the location by taking the car and use the car parks either at Andreaestraße or Mehlstraße. The Restaurant Brunnenhof is only a 5 min footwalk away if the Kurt-Schumacher-Allee is followed in the direction of Hannover main station. Alternatively, participants can use the tram lines 4 or 5 from the station "Schneiderberg/Wilhelm-Busch-Museum" to "Kröpcke" and walk about 5 min from Kröpcke towards Hannover main station. The Restaurant Brunnenhof is then found on the left side of the Ernst-August-Platz.

The colloquium takes place in the area "Schneiderberg" of the Leibniz Universität Hannover and is a 5 minutes footwalk away from the main building ("Welfenschloss") of the university.
